Eid-ul-Adha marks the coming to an end of a great form of Islamic worship, the Hajj. Dating back to Prophet Abraham a.s., Hajj is a combination of manasik (rituals) that are performed around the Ka‘bah and in its vicinity. 

It was in 1979 that an Ahmadi stalwart, Professor Dr Abdus Salam won the Nobel Prize. This achievement was celebrated not only in the world of science but also in the world of Ahmadiyyat.

Friday Sermon of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad r.a. Delivered on the 28th of February 1919, on the duties of Ahmadi residents of Qadian especially during Jalsa.

The air here in London is filled with the aura of the Jalsa Salana UK which is due to be held in literally a week’s time from today. 

The month of July is reminiscent of a very sad event from the history of the Jamaat.

It has now become common to see Khuddam holding long walks with the aim of raising funds to support not only the various causes within the Jamaat but also to support the causes of other charities all around the world.

The Economist (23 June 2018) carries a lead article titled “The Saudi Revolution Begins”. It mentions how Prince Muhammad bin Salman is “revolutionising” Saudi Arabia by, for example, letting women take the wheel to drive. While this is being celebrated as a breakthrough in the “anti-woman” history of Saudi Arabia (as termed by the West), what should be of more surprise is that Saudi history seems to be moving back some 1500 years in what is seen as a move towards modernity.

Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II r.a. felt the need for reform in the system of Sadr Anjuman Ahmadiyya, along with the need of systematic consultation within the Jamaat regarding issues that arise from to time.
