The Holy Quran

The English translation of Part 1 of the Holy Quran was based on the commentary by Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II r.a. It was welcomed by scholars of Quranic exegesis.

Ramadan reminds us of the days when an absolute book like the Holy Quran was revealed for the world; a reminder of the blessed days when the most fortunate era of the world began; a reminder of the days when Allah opened up the gates of His grace and blessings and when the Holy Prophetsa turned away from the ugly and miserable shape of the world and its pitiful state.

Regarding the Ottomans in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, the author says:
“The social structures in the Muslim world, which had developed along very different lines to those in western Europe, also proved to be an important factor.
