Lajna Imaillah and Nasirat-ul-Ahmadiyya Ireland held their 17th Annual Ijtema on 20 September 2026 at Griffeen Valley Educate Together National School in Dublin, Ireland. The theme of this year’s ijtema was “Modesty is part of faith”.

The proceedings began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the Lajna Pledge. A special message from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa) was then read out. In his message, Huzoor (aa) reminded the members that the primary purpose of an ijtema is to assess one’s spiritual and moral condition, increase religious knowledge and strengthen one’s relationship with Allah the Almighty. This was followed by a poem and annual reports presented by the secretaries for Talim and Nasirat.

Following the opening session, members were divided into age groups for academic competitions. A variety of academic competitions were organised in line with the theme. The members also took part in an art and craft competition inspired by the theme, while a dedicated station enabled participants to write letters to Huzoor (aa). A bake stall for nasirat was also held during lunchtime, to which members contributed by preparing and selling baked goods. Throughout the programme, an interactive quiz, based on the “Message of the Day” initiative, was also held.

The second session began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a variety of competitions. As Lajna Imaillah UK’s ijtema was taking place during the same weekend, members from Ireland were also able to listen to the live address delivered by Huzoor (aa) from the UK. Prizes were then awarded to members who had excelled in the competitions.

The ijtema was attended by a total of 117 members.
