The Aisha Academy Canada launched the Holy Quran Nazirah Programme in 2024 in collaboration with the National Talim-ul-Quran and Waqf-e-Arzi Department.
The Academy marked a significant milestone by holding its first Holy Quran Nazirah Programme Amin ceremony on 18 April 2026 at the Baitul Islam Mosque, Canada.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a poem and a brief introduction of the Nazirah Programme and its instructors. The ceremony was presided over by Sadr Lajna Imaillah Canada, Nadia Mahmood Sahiba. The ceremony was for 17 students who completed their first reading of the Holy Quran. Each student was presented with a certificate, along with a copy of the Holy Quran. This was followed by the recitation of a poem. In her closing remarks, Sadr Sahiba reminded attendees of the importance of daily recitation of the Holy Quran and encouraged them to strive for a deeper understanding of its meaning.
The proceedings concluded with a silent prayer. A total of 62 attendees were present at the event.
