Being merciful with people

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللہِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

الرَّاحِمُوْنَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمٰنُ ارْحَمُوْا مَنْ فِی الأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِی السَّمَاءِ الرَّحِمُ شُجْنَةٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمٰنِ فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلَهُ اللہُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعَهُ اللہُ

Hazrat Abdullah^ra bin Amr relates that the Holy Prophet^sa said, “The merciful are shown mercy by Al-Rahman [the Gracious One]. Be merciful on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from He Who is above the heavens. The womb is named after Al-Rahman, so whoever connects it, Allah connects him, and whoever severs it, Allah severs him.”
