Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Canada has been actively fundraising for local charities and hospitals across Canada. Recently, the Majlis raised $25,000 for Southlake Regional Health Centre (SRHC), located in Newmarket Ontario. On 13 September 2024, Sadr Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Canada, Tahir Ahmed Sahib, presented a $25,000 cheque to SRHC. Ms. Patricia McLaughlin and Ms. Melanie Osmond – Director and Officer, respectively, of Events & Community Partnerships SRHC, received the cheque. The funds were raised by neighbouring majalis of Newmarket and Bradford. In her speech, Ms. McLaughlin said, “On behalf of everyone at Southlake, I am deeply grateful for this generous donation. This $25,000 will make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and the quality of care we provide.” A commemorative plaque has been placed in the Cardiac Patient Room at the Southlake Regional Health Centre, recognising the donation by the Jamaat.
