طَلْحَة بْن مُصَرّفٍ قالَ: سَألْتُ عَبْدَ اللّٰه بْن أبِي أوْفى هَلْ كانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم أوْصى؟ فَقالَ
«لاَ»، فَقُلْتُ: كَيْفَ كُتِبَ عَلى النّاسِ الوَصِيَّةُ أوْ أُمِرُوا بِالوَصِيَّةِ؟ قالَ: «أوْصى بِكِتابِ اللّٰهِ»
Talha bin Musarrif narrated, “I asked Abdullah bin Abi ‘Aufa, ‘Did the Prophetsa make a will?’ He replied, ‘No.’ I said, ‘How is it prescribed then for the people to make wills, and they are commanded to do so?’ He replied, ‘He bequeathed Allah’s Book.’”
