As Ecuador celebrated its National Independence Day on 10 August 2026, Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Ecuador hosted its annual open house on 8 August 2026, welcoming neighbours and guests to learn about Islam.
This year, the open house featured several informative stalls, including displays dedicated to the Holy Quran, the concept of hijab, salat and Jamaat literature. The volunteers were present at the stations to guide guests, introduce the topic and answer any questions.
For many first-time guests, the event cleared widespread misconceptions. Several visitors noted that they had been curious about Islam, but assumed non-Muslims were not permitted to enter a mosque. The attendees expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality and shared that they left with a clearer, more authentic understanding of Islam.
The open house bridged communities, offering guests a memorable experience and fostering stronger ties of friendship. It was attended by over 30 guests.
