On 29 November 2025, Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Regina, Canada, hosted an interfaith event titled “The Imam – A Beacon of Light in a Troubled World.”
The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by Jamaat’s introduction, introductory remarks by Madeeh-ur-Rehman Sahib and recitation of an Arabic qasidah of the Promised Messiahas by a group of atfal.
The In-Charge of the Turkish Desk in Canada then delivered a speech, offering insights on the purpose and blessings of true imamat, the importance of unity and moral leadership and the continued guidance of Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya in contemporary times. A thoughtful and engaging question-and-answer session followed, jointly presided over by In-Charge Turkish Desk Canada, Regional Amir Prairie, Dr Habib-ur-Rehman Sahib and Missionary Khalil Tanvir Sahib.
The event welcomed a diverse gathering, reflecting strong interfaith and community engagement. Guests included representatives from Holy Rosary Cathedral, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sikh and Baha’i communities, Daughters of Africa, Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, Regina School Board Trustee Mr Ted Jaleta and Arabic Christian Alliance Church. Members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan were also present, including Ms Jacqueline Roy (Regina Northeast), who shared remarks on behalf of NDP Opposition Leader Ms Carla Beck and Mr Bhajan Brar (Regina Pasqua).

We deeply appreciate the warm welcome.”Following the formal programme, guests enjoyed refreshments and engaged in meaningful one-to-one discussions with Jamaat members. Several female guests joined Lajna members in the Lajna Hall for further conversation. Many guests took copies of Jesus in India, while others requested additional books for further study. The event was attended by 28 guests and 63 Jamaat members.
