Jalsa Seerat-un-Nabi held in Banjul/Kombo Region of The Gambia

On 15 September 2024, the Banjul/Kombo region of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya The Gambia held a Jalsa Seerat-un-Nabi at the Baitus Salam Mosque, Tallinding, and was attended by 164 members.

The programme commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech by Ustaz Dawda SK Cham Sahib on the blessed life and character of the Holy Prophetsa, highlighting his humility, tolerance, and leadership. My humble self then spoke on the Holy Prophet’ssa perseverance during trials, emphasising his unwavering faith and reliance on prayer, particularly during the Battle of Badr. Saeed Samba Sowe Sahib elaborated on the Holy Prophet’ssa role as a “Prince of Peace.” Naveed Ahmad Qamar Sahib, regional missionary, delivered the concluding speech on the Promised Messiah’sas profound love for the Holy Prophetsa. The programme ended with closing remarks and a silent prayer led by Naib Amir and missionary-in-charge of The Gambia, Mahmood Tahir Ahmad Sahib, who reminded the participants of the true purpose behind commemorating the Jalsa Seerat-un-Nabi.
