On 23 and 24 September 2026, a delegation of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Niger met with the officials of important national institutions responsible for media and communications in Niger. The delegation was led by Amir Jamaat Niger, Asad Majeeb Sahib, who was also accompanied by General Secretary Jamaat Niger, Mahamane Bello Sahib.
The delegation held separate meetings with Madam Fatimata, Director of Media and Communication at the Direction des Médias Communautaires (DMC) and Mr Usman Garba, Secretary General of the National Communication Observatory (ONC). The primary purpose of these meetings was to obtain information regarding the requirements and procedures for acquiring a dedicated radio frequency and broadcasting facility for Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Niger.

In view of the prevailing security situation in Niger, a dedicated radio service could be particularly beneficial for reaching areas where the security situation is extremely difficult and which are considered red zones, making physical access difficult or, in some cases, not possible. Through radio broadcasts, the sermons and addresses of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa), along with programmes for the religious education and training of Jamaat members and the propagation of the teachings of Islam, could reach people in such areas.
At present, some Jamaat programmes are broadcast through different private radio stations in various parts of Niger. These programmes are generally weekly and are limited to individual stations and their respective areas, with the Jamaat also having to pay the respective stations for the broadcasts. A dedicated radio frequency would therefore provide greater continuity and allow the Jamaat to organise its broadcasts according to its own requirements.
During the meetings, the officials of both institutions received the delegation warmly and provided detailed information regarding radio broadcasting procedures, the relevant administrative requirements and the steps involved in obtaining the necessary approvals.
