Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Mexico held its Seventh Jalsa Salana on 28-29 August 2026, at the Baitul Afiyat Mosque in Mexico City. The Jalsa was held along with the special occasion of the inauguration of the Baitul Afiyat Mosque, which also took place on 28 August.
The total attendance at this year’s Jalsa was 124. The majority of attendees were Mexican nationals, with members attending from San Cristóbal de las Casas, Mexico City, Querétaro and Mérida. International guests also joined from the United States, Canada, Belize and Cuba. This year, the main Jalsa Gah was established in a marquee directly in front of the mosque.
On Friday, prior to the Jumuah prayer, a flag-hoisting ceremony was held, followed by the unveiling of the plaque of the Baitul Afiyat Mosque by Noman Rana Sahib, Missionary and Sadr Jamaat Mexico. The Jumuah prayer was then held in the mosque, with men praying on the ground floor and ladies on the upper floor.
Later that evening, the opening session of the Jalsa Salana was held in the marquee outside the mosque. A special message from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa) was also received, which was translated into Spanish and was read out in both English and Spanish during the first session of Jalsa Salana, before the commencement of the speeches.
The second session of Jalsa Salana was held on Saturday morning. The ladies held their own session inside the mosque, while the men held their session outside in the marquee.
The Jalsa concluded on Saturday afternoon with the guest session. Various guests attended, including government officials, religious leaders, educators and neighbours of the mosque. This session was particularly significant as it provided an opportunity to introduce the newly inaugurated Baitul Afiyat Mosque to the surrounding community and to share the peaceful message of Islam with our neighbours and guests.
During the concluding session, missionary Adnan Haider Sahib delivered a speech on “Baitul Afiyat: The House of Peace and Security”, reminding members of their duty towards making mosques houses of peace and security through their actions and examples. Several distinguished guests then shared their thoughts and sentiments. They expressed their happiness at being able to join the members of the Jamaat Mexico for its Jalsa Salana and spoke with great enthusiasm about the newly inaugurated mosque becoming a positive part of the wider Mexican society.
