On 28 August 2026, Lajna Imaillah Canada held its annual National Majlis-e-Shura, attended by 361 delegates from across 19 regions of Canada.
The programme began with attendees listening to the live Friday sermon by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa), delivered from Islamabad, UK. Following the conclusion of the sermon, the Shura programme officially started with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the Lajna Imaillah pledge.
Sadr Lajna Imaillah Canada, Nadia Mahmood Sahiba, led the inauguration of Majlis-e-Shura. The report of Shura efforts made in the previous year was presented by Secretary Shura, Mansoora Rauf Sahiba, along with the implementation reports on the specific proposals which were presented by the National Tarbiyat and Umur-e-Talibaat secretaries. Delegates were reminded of the Divine commandments about shura and taqwa.
While some delegates participated in the sub-committees, the remaining delegates had a special programme in the afternoon, enhancing their knowledge and awareness of important topics of this current era. The day concluded with silent prayer and dinner hosted for all delegates.
