On 29 March 2026, Lajna Imaillah Canada organised a tabligh event on the theme “Eid Celebration and Learn More About Islam,” bringing together community members for an evening of dialogue, education and outreach.
The event was attended by 17 guests. Discussions throughout the programme focused on addressing common questions about Islam, including the benefits of learning about religion, the diversity of sects within Islam and an introduction to the teachings of Islam Ahmadiyyat. It also featured an interactive session on women’s rights in Islam.
Guests found the event both informative and insightful. Many were particularly surprised to learn about the significant role of Hazrat Khadija (ra), including her proposal to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) and her distinction as the first person to accept Islam. Another message highlighted during the event was Islam’s emphasis on service to humanity and the dual responsibility of fulfilling the rights of God and fulfilling the rights of mankind. In line with this principle, Lajna Imaillah Canada presented a $10,000 donation cheque to Hill House Hospice in support of compassionate end-of-life care.
The afternoon concluded with a guided tour of the Baitul Islam Mosque and a special dinner in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, providing further opportunity for community building and informal discussion.
