On 13 March 2026, the Mayor of Council Number 1 of Niamey, Mrs Mariam Jika, visited the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Niger’s headquarters along with 10 members of her council cabinet.
During the visit, the distinguished guests were given a detailed introduction to the claim of the Promised Messiah (as). This was followed by an introduction to the system of Khilafat. A documentary video presenting the message and global activities of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya was also shown. The delegation was then given a guided tour of the mosque and school, which left a strong impression on the visitors.
Mrs Mariam Jika holds the rank of colonel in Niger’s army and serves as a gynaecologist. She is among the highest-ranking female officers in the country.
