Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Canada held its 48th Jalsa Salana on 10-12 July 2026 at the International Convention Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
The Jalsa Salana Canada officially commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by the first session, which began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. After an Urdu poem, the session featured speeches on “Acceptance of Prayer as a Powerful Argument for the Existence of God” by Abdul Noor Abid Sahib, “The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa): The Liberator of Mankind” by Aizaz Ahmad Khan Sahib and “Truthfulness: The Foundation of Peace in Society” by Sohail Mubarak Ahmad Sharma Sahib. The first day concluded with announcements followed by dinner for all attendees.
The following morning, the second session of Jalsa Salana Canada commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a poem and addresses on “Five Daily Prayers in a Busy Life: Burden or Blessing?” by Zubair Afzal Sahib, “Spying and Backbiting: The Cause of Social Unrest” by Najeebullah Ayaz Sahib, “The Concept of Chastity and Modesty in Islam” by Umair Khan Sahib and “Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya: Upholding the Moral and Spiritual Values of Islam” by Hadi Ali Chaudhary Sahib.
The Zuhr and Asr prayers were combined at 4 pm, after which attendees gathered inside the Jalsa Gah for the third session, which commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a poem and addresses on “Scientific Truths in the Holy Quran” by Dr Tauseef Khan Sahib, “Consider Service to Faith a Divine Favour” by Farrukh Rehman Tahir Sahib and “Fulfil the Covenant, for the Covenant Shall be Questioned About” by Dr Maood Bin Tahir Sahib.
Many non-Ahmadi dignitaries attended the Jalsa Salana Canada, including Member of Parliament of Canada and President of the Treasury Board (Minister), MP Shafqat Ali; Member of Parliament of Canada and Secretary of State (Combatting Crime), MP Ruby Sahota; Premier of the Province of Ontario, Honourable Doug Ford; Leader of the Official Opposition in Ontario, MPP Marit Stiles; 17 Members of Parliament of Canada and eight members of Provincial Parliament. Regional and municipal governments were also well represented. The day concluded with dinner being served to all attendees.
Running concurrently with the third session on the men’s side, the Ladies’ Programme commenced on 11 July, following the combined Zuhr and Asr prayers at 4 pm. The programme opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a poem and an Academic Awards Ceremony recognising the educational achievements of the members. The session featured a series of presentations delivered by speakers from across Canada, highlighting the spiritual, moral and educational role of women in Islam. The addresses were delivered on “Why Islam Ahmadiyyat?” by Daniyah Yaqoob Sahiba, “Sources of Spiritual Progress” by Amtul Qayyum Ajaz Sahiba, “My Spiritual Journey Towards Islam Ahmadiyyat” by Kayla Andersen Read Sahiba, “Follow in the Footsteps of the Female Companions” by Amatul Salam Malik Sahiba and “Lajna Imaillah as Ambassadors of Khilafat” by Nadia Mahmood Sahiba. The Ladies’ Programme concluded with announcements followed by dinner for all attendees.
The fourth and final session of Jalsa Salana Canada commenced at 11 am on 12 July, with a recitation from the Holy Quran and a poem, followed by addresses on “Financial Sacrifices of the Companions of the Promised Messiah (as)” by Tahir Ahmed Sahib and “Balance Between Parental Rights and Marital Obligations” by Naveed Ahmad Mangla Sahib.
After the awards distribution ceremony, Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Canada, Lal Khan Malik Sahib, delivered the concluding address. The total attendance was 24,286 and the Jalsa concluded with a silent prayer.
