Majlis Ansarullah New Zealand held a Quran Exhibition on 13 June 2026 in Wellington.
The exhibition featured a display of the Holy Quran’s translations into various languages, including the Te Reo Maori translation, titled Kur’anu Tapu. In addition, informative pull-up banners were displayed throughout the venue, which highlighted key Quranic teachings on peace, justice, compassion, interfaith harmony and the relationship between religion and science. A book stall was also arranged, offering a variety of literature about Islam and the Holy Quran for visitors to browse and take home.
The exhibition commenced with a silent prayer led by the National President of Jamaat New Zealand, Bashir Khan Sahib. Prior to the exhibition, flyers were distributed throughout the local community to invite members of the public to attend and learn about the Holy Quran and the teachings of Islam. The visitors showed keen interest and engaged thoughtfully with the displays and discussions.
Two informative seminars were also held for guests during the day. More than 30 guests attended the sessions and benefited from presentations and discussions about the Holy Quran, its teachings and its relevance in contemporary society. Informal discussions took place between the guests and organisers, focusing on religious tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence in a diverse society.
