Hazrat Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“The two months of Eid i.e. Ramadan and Dhul-Hijja, do not decrease (in superiority).”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Saum)
