Majlis Ansarullah New Zealand held its second refresher course of the year on 24 May 2026 at the Munir Hall, Bait-ul-Muqeet Mosque.
The main purpose of this refresher course was to review the performance of the majalis and assess the progress made on the plans and schemes that had previously been proposed. It also provided an opportunity to discuss how our methods of working and future planning could be improved so that we may achieve better and more effective results in the future.
The formal proceedings commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the Ansar Pledge, a welcome address by my humble self and a speech by Shafiqur Rahman Sahib, a missionary, on “Understanding Rules, Responsibilities, Mutual Respect and Obeying Instructions at Every Level within the Required Timeframe.”
After a short break and introductions of all amila members, Qaid Umumi presented a series of video clips of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aa), covering a variety of important topics relating to the responsibilities of ansar, including financial sacrifice, upbringing of children, religious knowledge, understanding the Holy Quran, righteousness, service to faith and strengthening one’s relationship with Allah.
Following this session, Mohammad Iqbal Sahib delivered a presentation on the importance of attending amila meetings. After this, participants raised several questions, which were answered in detail by the Sadr Majlis and Naib Sadr Majlis. Afterwards, Naib Sadr Saf-e-Dom, Sultan Sikandar Sahib, delivered a presentation regarding acting appointments and administrative arrangements during periods of absence.
After the Zuhr prayer and lunch, the afternoon session commenced, wherein a detailed briefing was provided regarding preparations for the upcoming International Badminton Tournament in Australia. Qaid Umumi, Tahir Zafarullah Sahib, then delivered a presentation on the importance of reporting. Qaid Maal then provided a brief introduction to the Finance Department and presented an overview of the Jamaat budget, expenditure and current financial situation. Towards the conclusion of the programme, Lutfur Rahman Malik Sahib delivered a detailed presentation regarding Shura approvals and the implementation plan.
The refresher course concluded with silent prayer.
