Respecting the chiefs of other people

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّٰه صلّى اللّٰه عليه وسلّم: إِذَا أَتَاكُمْ كَرِيمُ قَوْمٍ فَأَكْرِمُوهُ.‏

It is narrated by Hazrat Ibn Umarra that, “Allah’s Messengersa said, ‘When a respectable person of a people pays you a visit, show him due respect.’”

(Sunan Ibn Majah, Kitab al-adab, Bab idha atakum karimu qawmin fa ‘akrimuhu, Hadith 3712)
