The Holy Prophet s.a. was the most generous of all people

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ۔ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ـ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجْوَدَ النَّاسِ، وَأَجْوَدُ مَا يَكُوْنُ فِی رَمَضَانَ، حِينَ يَلْقَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ، وَكَانَ جِبْرِيلُ۔ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ۔ يَلْقَاهُ فِی كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَيُدَارِسُهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَرَسُولُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجْوَدُ بِالْخَيْرِ مِنَ الرِّيحِ الْمُرْسَلَةِ

Hazrat Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “

The Holy Prophet^sa was the most generous of all people, and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Quran with him. The Holy Prophet^sa then used to be more generous than the fast wind.”
