Hazrat Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that, “A black man – or, as also reported, a black woman – used to sweep the mosque. When that person passed away, the Prophet (sa) asked about him. The people said, ‘He has passed away.’ The Prophet (sa) said, ‘Why did you not inform me of him? Show me his grave.’ Or he said, ‘her grave.’ He then came to the grave and offered the funeral prayer for that person.”
