Throughout the year, meetings to highlight the noble character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, take place in all parts of the UK. During the last three months (November 2019 to January 2020) such meetings took place in length and breadth of United Kingdom.
In all 14 regions, 64 meetings were held and attended by 7714 participants. 67 speakers delivered 88 speeches, along with question and answer sessions.
Mansoor Ahmad Chatha Sahib, Regional Missionary in Hayes, reports that religious and community leaders from across the London Borough of Hillingdon gathered on 18 January 2020, next to the Baitul Aman Mosque in Hayes for a New Year Dinner.
The New Year Dinner is an annual event organised by the Hayes branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The theme of this year’s event was “The astonishing story of Muhammadsa”. The event was attended by 61 external guests including the Deputy Mayor, the Deputy Lieutenant, two priests and local councillors.
Ataul Mujeeb Rashed Sahib, Missionary-in-charge UK delivered the keynote address and introduced the life and noble character of the Prophetsa of Islam to the guests. For most of the attendees, this was the first opportunity to learn about our Holy Prophetsa and the fascinating accounts of various examples from his life was attended by rapt attention.
This was followed by a very interesting question and answer session. All guests were gifted with the book “Life of Muhammadsa” and were served a delicious complimentary dinner.
