Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Nigeria held its 71st Jalsa Salana on 19-21 December 2025, at the Conference Ground, Jamia Ahmadiyya Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria.
After the flag-hoisting ceremony, the first session started with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an Arabic qasidah.
The special message from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Vaa was read out by Amir Sahib Jamaat Nigeria, followed by his inaugural speech, which was then translated into the Yoruba and Hausa languages for the benefit of attendees. The first day concluded with Maghrib and Isha prayers, followed by dinner.
On Saturday, the second session commenced with Amir Sahib Jamaat Nigeria presiding. The session had a number of dignitaries in attendance, including government officials, traditional rulers, educators and representatives from other communities, both within Nigeria and from neighbouring countries, who were all introduced and recognised.
The recitation from the Holy Quran was followed by an Urdu poem and an Arabic poem. This was followed by a speech on the theme “Unity is Strength: Lessons from Islamic History as a Guide to Current Global Challenges to the Muslim Ummah,” by Professor Saeed Olurotimi Timehin Sahib, Member of the National Qadha Board. Subsequently, the annual academic merit awards were distributed under the coordination of the National Talim Secretary, Tajudeen Oladoja Sahib. Some of the guests were invited to give short speeches from the podium. The programme was brought to a close by a silent prayer, which was followed by a visit to the exhibition stands by the invited guests and lunch.
The third session commenced with the Missionary-In-Charge Nigeria, Adnan Tahir Sahib, presiding. It began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an Arabic qasidah. This was followed by a speech on “Sacrifices in the way of Allah: Pious Examples of Hazrat Sir Zafrulla Khanra and Hazrat Syeda Nawab Mubarika Begumra,” by the Missionary-In-Charge. A special announcement was made regarding the commencement of Year 1 at Minaret University Ikirun (MUI) by Professor Abdullah Abdur Rahman Sahib, Vice Chancellor. The second day ended with Maghrib and Isha prayers, followed by dinner and a comprehensive question-and-answer session. The panel was chaired by Professor Abdul Majeed Hassan Bello Sahib, President of the Qadha Board.
The fourth and closing session commenced on Sunday immediately after the Fajr prayer. The recitation from the Holy Quran was followed by an Arabic qaseedah. This was followed by a speech on “Modern Day Evidence for the Existence of Allah,” by Professor Mashud Adenrele Fashola Sahib, former Amir of Jamaat Nigeria and Member of the Board of Trustees, Minaret University, Ikirun (MUI).
The Jalsa was brought to an end by the closing remarks by Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Alhaji Barr Alatoye Folorunso Azeez Sahib.
Throughout the three-day event, Jalsa Radio continued to provide live translations of the proceedings in the Yoruba and Hausa languages, ensuring accessibility for all attendees. Jalsa Salana Nigeria 2025 recorded a total checked-in attendance of 35,771 individuals.
