Ataul Mujeeb Rashed, Missionary-in-charge, UK

The holy month of Ramadan is also the month of the Holy Quran. Allah the Almighty states, “The month of Ramadan is that in which the Quran was sent down as a guidance for mankind with clear proofs of guidance and discrimination.” (Surah al-Baqarah, Ch.2: V. 186)

Each year Ramadan reminds us of the importance of the Holy Quran.

Hazrat Amirul Momineen, may Allah be his Helper, has mentioned in the past that reminders of the affinity between Ramadan and the Holy Quran will only be beneficial when we make special efforts during Ramadan to look for the commandments of the Quran, then put them in practice and make them a part of our lives; when we try to understand the meanings of the Holy Quran, when we make special efforts in this month to look for the commandments of the Quran. (Friday Sermon, 19 July 2013)

Mansoor Ahmad Chattha Sahib reports that even though darses of the Holy Quran are delivered in all UK mosques throughout the year, in light of the immense importance of the study of the Holy Quran during the sacred month of Ramadan, the field missionaries of the UK Jamaat intensified their efforts and were engaged in darses of the Holy Quran up and down the country. In total, 565 darses of the Holy Quran were delivered. By the grace of Allah the Almighty, it is estimated that over 18,000 members of the Jamaat benefitted from them. Alhamdulillah.
