8th Holy Quran and Science Conference, Canada

The National Talim department of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Canada organised the 8th Holy Quran and Science Conference on 21 November 2021, as reported by Dr Hameed A Mirza Sahib, Secretary Talim, Jamaat Canada.

Due to Covid-19, the conference was held virtually. It focused on the correlation of recent scientific research with signs given in the Holy Quran. Eminent scholars and scientists shared ideas, thoughts and recent ground-breaking research in fields of medicine, technology and climate.

The conference commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran with its translation, followed by a welcome speech by the conference coordinator, Jamil Ahmad Sahib.

The conference was presided over by Secretary Talim Jamaat Canada, Dr Hameed A Mirza Sahib, who presented a brief history of this initiative.  

The event was structured into three sessions. Presenters joined from various parts of the world including Ireland, the UK, Norway, the USA and Canada. Each session comprised of a ten-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute presentation by the keynote speaker and finally a ten-minute question and answer session with the panel.  

22 speakers presented their research, in which they focused on the scientific facts about the universe presented in the Holy Quran, and the correlation of recent scientific research with signs given in the Holy Quran.

At the end, Secretary Talim Jamaat Canada, Dr Hameed A Mirza Sahib thanked everyone for attending, and Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Canada, Lal Khan Malik Sahib delivered the closing address and concluded the event with silent prayer.

The conference was live-streamed at the official website of the conference (www.quranandscience.org), resulting in over 3,000 distinct views.
