Children’s playground inaugurated in Kosovo

On 22 May 2023, Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Kosovo and Humanity First Germany inaugurated a playground along with the local municipality officials. This playground was made possible by a generous donation of £10,000 from Humanity First Germany and is located in the courtyard of the Bajram Curri Elementary and Lower Secondary School in the village of Strellc i Epërm, Municipality of Deçan. The playground will benefit over 330 children attending the pre-primary and primary cycles of the school. The inauguration ceremony was attended by more than 100 people, including pupils, parents, teachers, pedagogues, veterans of education, school staff, representatives of the police service, and officials from Croatia, North Macedonia, Germany, and the USA.

During the event, a speech was delivered by Mr Bashkim R Berisha, the director of Bajram Curri Elementary and Lower Secondary School, who expressed gratitude to Humanity First for their support.

Mr Besnik Hulaj, Director of Education in the Municipality of Deçan, conveyed the mayor’s appreciation for Humanity First Germany’s donation.

Then, Azhar Haneef Sahib, a missionary in the USA, addressed the audience and highlighted the significance of the playground investment for the future of the children.

Zubair Khalil Khan Sahib, Director of Balkan Projects for Humanity First Germany, spoke about the organization’s humanitarian work globally and their commitment to supporting projects like the playground. He assured the audience of their continued support.

Mr Zeqë Malaj, Senior Education Officer in the Municipality of Deçan, also expressed gratitude to Humanity First and Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Kosovo for their donation to the school.

The coverage of this project was extensive, reaching over 60,000 people through social media and other websites.
