Shoaib Nayyer Sahib, President of the Leeds Jamaat, UK reports that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Leeds was able to organise a tabligh forum on 16 February 2020, at Roundhay Parochial Community Hall, Leeds.

The topic of the event was “Global Peace and Islam”. There were numerous pull up banners containing a summary of the charitable work done by the community in different parts of the world. Before the start of the program a presentation was displayed that introduced Islam Ahmadiyyat, its charitable works, achievements and sayings from historians, writers and world leaders about the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa.

Peace efforts and visits made by Hazrat Amirul Momineenaa were also covered in the presentation. The Imam of The London Mosque, Maulana Ataul Mujeeb Rashed Sahib graced the occasion as the keynote speaker.

The programme started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by English translation. Dr Asim Salim, Vice President of Leeds Jamaat gave a brief welcome address. Respected Mubarak Ahmad Basra Sahib was then invited to present a short introduction of the Jamaat, followed by a short documentary on Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya.

The keynote address was then delivered by Maulana Ataul Mujeeb Rashed Sahib. His speech was very inspiring and he quoted various verses from the Holy Quran about peace, love, harmony and also elaborated how peace can be established in the society. He shed some light on the actual teachings of Islam and quoted a few examples from the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa; portraying how peace was promoted during his time. His address was followed by a question and answer session.

In the end, Rebecca Taylor from Ruth Goarse Academy Leeds thanked the event organisers on behalf of the guests. All the guests enjoyed the event and found it very beneficial and inspiring. They specially commented on the fact that this event gave them a better understanding of Islam and its beautiful peaceful teachings.

They appreciated the efforts of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in spreading the true teachings of the Holy Quran. In total 26 guests attended the event.
