Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya USA held its National Atfal Rally on 28 to 29 August 2021, virtually over Zoom. In the absence of a National Ijtema, this was the largest event of the year for Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya.
The planning for the Atfal Rally started several weeks ago with Naib Mohtamim, Alamzeb Khan Sahib serving as Nazim-e-Ala, and Muavin Mohtamim, Aasim Ahmad Sahib as his Naib. A team of more than ten Atfal National Amila members worked very hard for the planning, management and registration for the event.
The programme for the Atfal Rally started on 28 August 2021 at 12pm EST. The opening session was presided by Anwer Mahmood Khan Sahib, Secretary Tahrik-e-Jadid Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya USA, who talked to Atfal about “How to attain nearness to Allah the Almighty”.
Other presentations included the topics “Attributes of Allah’”, presented by the missionary Syed Adil Ahmad Sahib, “Uswa-e-Hasanah” presented by Noor Mohammed Sahib, “Healthy living and Islamic teachings” presented by Rehman Nasir Sahib, “Spending time wisely” by Aasim Ahmad Sahib and “Story Time” by the missionary Azam Akram Sahib.
At the end of day one, there was an interactive session for Atfal aged ten and above titled “Two sincere friends”, led by Ousman Mbowe Sahib, Assistant Secretary Rishta Nata Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya USA.
The second and final day of the Atfal Rally started with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
The first presentation was titled “Anti-social media” by Dr Bilal Rana Sahib, Secretary Umur-e-Ama Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya USA.
The next presentation was titled “How to beat the K-12 system” by Muhammed Chaudhry Sahib, President Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Silicon Valley.
In addition to interactive presentations, a scavenger hunt was conducted in four parts throughout the Atfal Rally, which consisted of questions from all presentations and required some online research on Jamaat websites.
The concluding session of the Atfal Rally was presided by Dr Mirza Maghfoor Ahmad Sahib, Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya USA.
After the recitation from the Holy Quran, the Atfal pledge and nazm, Syed Raza Ahmad Sahib, Mohtamim Atfal presented the event report, along with the names of the winners of various competitions held throughout the year. They included the Sehat-e-Jismani physical fitness challenge, the weekly Friday Sermon quiz and the scavenger hunt.
Amir Sahib Jamaat USA then spoke to Atfal about prioritising their relationship with Allah the Almighty in their busy schedules and the importance of thanking Him.
This was followed by a question and answer session. Some of the questions included, “what is the best way to do tabligh”, “how to always remember Allah”, “when is the next USA Jalsa”, among others.
In the end, Dr Madeel Abdullah Sahib, Sadr Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya USA thanked all the participants.
The event concluded with silent prayer.
The total number of unique Atfal in attendance was approximately 700. All praise belongs to Allah for enabling us to hold this event.
May Allah bless the efforts of our volunteers and presenters and increase them in their service to the Jamaat. May Allah make Atfal USA the worthy flag bearers of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya in the future. Amin
