Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Boston was able to hold Jalsa Masih-e-Maud via Zoom on 20 March 2021. The programme began with recitation of the Holy Quran with English translation, followed by a poem from Durr-e-Sameen, with translation.
The first speech was delivered by a tifl, Danial Ahmad Sahib, on “The Promised Messiahas – the man, the message, and the movement”, which narrated some incidents from the life of the Promised Messiahas.
The next presentation, titled “The first condition of Bai‘at and its relevance in the modern age” was delivered by Asif Jamil Sahib. With interactive questions initiated by the speaker, the presentation engaged the audience and led to fruitful discourse.
The keynote speech was delivered by a missionary, Salman Tariq Sahib, which detailed the purpose of the advent of the Promised Messiahas with respect to revitalising the teachings of Islam.
After this, the local President, Dr Karim Sharif Sahib gave his concluding remarks. He presented a slideshow of pictures of historical sites in Qadian where the Promised Messiahas had claimed to be the Messiah and would frequent and reside in. Sites included an overall view of old Qadian, the train station, the “Gol Kamra”, Masjid Mubarak, Masjid Nur, and the house of the Promised Messiahas.
After this, a question and answer session was held, where members of the Jamaat asked questions pertaining to the forgiveness of shirk, the nature of jinn, satan, iblis, and whether Hazrat Adamas was the first man on earth. The question and answer session continued for over half an hour and was well appreciated by the attendees.
The programme concluded with silent prayer led by Salman Tariq Sahib.
