Purity through Allah’s grace and prayer

“It is indeed a fact that no one can attain purity unless God Almighty Himself purifies them. Carnal desires can only be subdued through God’s grace and sincere zeal, both cultivated through prayer [du‘a]. And this strength is solely attained through prayer.”
