Kosovo, one of the smallest countries on the Balkan Peninsula, is developing day by day in terms of primary, secondary and higher education. In terms of higher education, in addition to the state university, there are also several private colleges with 3-year bachelor’s and master’s study programmes. One of these private colleges in Kosovo is Pjetër Budi College, founded in 2005 in Prishtina, the capital of Kosovo. In addition to the educational process, this college organises other events and activities with an educational and literary character.
This college announced the organisation of a “Book Donation Day”, a traditional day for the college that gathers and unites students, professors and book lovers. The invitation was for all those interested to be a part of this special day for the college, and to donate their favourite books. The books that will be collected will be available to everyone.
The event was organised on 23 January 2023 at the college library, and was attended by Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Kosovo as well. The delegation donated three books; the Albanian translations of The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam, Life of Muhammad, and World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace.
During the event, which lasted an hour, we had the opportunity to present these books to the rector of the Pjetër Budi College, Dr Sc Sabri Klaiqi, who was pleased with our participation. In addition to the meeting, we had the opportunity to make new contacts with lovers of books and culture.
