On 22 June 2020, Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Niger, Asad Majeeb Sahib had a meeting with Niger’s Minister of Communication, Hon Habi Mahamadou Salissou in his office in Niamey.
During the meeting, Amir Sahib conveyed the message of the Promised Messiahas with a comprehensive introduction to Ahmadiyyat and Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya.
The minister also commended Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya for its continued commitment to welfare work and its dedication to humanitarian assistance, especially in the domain of providing water to remote areas where people have to walk miles just for one bucket of water.
During the meeting, Amir Sahib informed the honourable minister:
“In association with International Association of Ahmadi Architects & Engineers (IAAAE) rehabilitation work of water pumps is already in progress in different areas of Niger.”
Regarding the Jamaat’s activities, the honourable minister said:
“I keep watching and reading on television and in newspapers that Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya is engaged in welfare work as well as preaching.”
The meeting concluded with a discussion regarding the use of telecommunication means for preaching.
In this regard, the honourable minister ensured everyone:
“My team and I will offer full support to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for obtaining radio frequency in Niger exclusively for religious purposes.”
