Waqas Ahmed, Sadr MKA Australia
National Amila Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Australia last met with Hazrat Amirul Momineenaa two years ago.
Ever since we received the confirmation of an audience with Huzooraa, there was a great deal of excitement, anxiousness and a natural worry that although it is always a huge honour and privilege to meet Hazrat Khalifatul Masihaa and present our reports and performance; however, there is always a question in mind that are we even deserving of this? And have we done enough? This is never the case, as there is always more to be done.
The moment Huzooraa came on the screen and said “Assalamo alaikum” and asked us to be seated with a very loving smile on his face, all the worry and anxiousness went away.
On the one hand, Covid-19 has restricted the movement of people and on the other, Allah the Almighty has opened up new avenues for the Jamaat of the Promised Messiahas, through which we have been able to meet Hazrat Khalifatul Masihaa virtually, sitting 10,000 miles away.
This year, all Ahmadis in Australia were hopeful that Huzooraa might visit Australia. Huzoor’saa last visit to Australia was in 2013 and before that, Huzooraa visited Australia in 2006. There are many Ahmadis in Australia who have never met Huzooraa. By the grace of Allah the Almighty, although Huzooraa could not physically come to Australia; however, through this virtual meeting, all Khuddam and Atfal felt as though Hazrat Khalifatul Masihaa was physically present amongst us.
By the grace of Allah the Almighty, 30 national amila members and 12 local qaideen were blessed to participate in this virtual meeting. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, only qaideen from Sydney and NSW were able to participate. The meeting ran for an hour and 20 minutes in which all attendees introduced themselves and the national amila presented their departmental reports. Huzooraa provided his guidance to each department. Huzooraa said in regard to the talim department that the national amila, qaideen and their local amilas should take the talim exam first and then expect other Khuddam to take such exams.
Similarly, regarding the tarbiyat department, Huzooraa said that they should also remind Khuddam of other tarbiyat issues, like to avoid watching inappropriate television programmes, avoid inappropriate friendships and married men should treat their spouses with respect and care.
Huzooraa instructed that they should try to ensure that there are less divorces and marital issues; national amila members should show their moral examples; Khuddam should be trained to get married to Ahmadis, rather than outside the Jamaat and Huzooraa reminded everyone how we should save ourselves from the different social ills of society. This should also be part of your tarbiyat plan. If one prays properly for the sake of Allah, then one can be saved from a lot of ills.
Khuddam should be reminded, Huzooraa said, about Salat, but also conduct tarbiyat programs and teach Khuddam what Allah the Almighty desires from us.
Huzooraa said, while answering a question on the moral training of children, that there is a narration about Hazrat Alira that his son asked him “Do you love me?” to which Hazrat Alira replied, “Yes”. Then, his son asked, “Do you also love Allah?” to which he replied, “Yes”. His son asked “How is it possible that you can love both at the same time?” to which he replied, “Love has different levels. Allah’s love takes first priority and your love is secondary.”
Huzooraa said that Khuddam should love their children, but according to Allah’s teachings. If children are doing the wrong things and not acting in accordance with the commandments of Allah and we say that we love our children and don’t admonish them, then this is wrong. From childhood, we should inculcate in the hearts of children that we love them; however, the love of Allah takes precedence. Therefore, if our children want us to love them, they should love Allah and obey His commandments.
After the meeting, the level of energy in everyone, was at an all time high. Attendees started discussing plans on how to improve the departments and achieve the targets mentioned by Huzooraa. Everyone felt that such a meeting should happen more oft en because even a brief moment with Hazrat Khalifatul Masihaa does wonders for one’s spiritual levels and motivation to serve Jamaat.
May Allah the Almighty bless our beloved Huzooraa with a long, healthy life and may we progress under his blessed guidance; may Allah bring that time once again that we can meet Huzooraa again. Amin
