On 12 August 2026, a solar eclipse occurred in the UK. This eclipse was unique in that it began and ended in the late afternoon, which coincided with the time between the Asr and Maghrib prayers. This raised questions about the permissibility of offering Salatul Kusuf (eclipse prayer) at a time when voluntary prayers are prohibited. I had the opportunity to conduct some research in this regard, which is presented to readers in this article.
