Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Niger continues to strengthen the bond with the government with the vision to serve the country. The Federal Minister of Social Development and Planning of Niger visited an Ahmadi village called Haukan Sara in the department of Guidan Roumdji at the invitation of Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Niger, Asad Majeeb Sahib, which was converted to a model village in 2017 by International Association of Ahmadi Architects & Engineers (IAAAE), thanks to their spontaneous and professional work.
A “model village” is equipped with water distribution technology achieved through solar energy to pump water from boreholes into over-head tanks, from where it flows to houses. The village also has a community centre, catering for education development of the locals.
There is also uninterrupted flow of electricity, illuminating houses and streets. This is all installed by members of IAAAE, who utilise their expertise in their respective domains. This village has been provided with sewing machines to help people make a living.
The Honourable Minister, Amani Abdou Sahib visited the village on 25 July 2020. Accompanied by the Federal Minister were the Vice Prefect, Vice Governor, Mayor and Regional Chief of Guidan Roumdji and other dignitaries.
The Federal Minister and his accompanying delegation inspected the mosque, water system, electricity project and sewing school. He was very impressed and inspired by the efforts put in. He thanked Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah be his Helper. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude towards Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya and appreciated the spectacular masterpiece by IAAAE.
