Armughan Jattala Sahib reports that on 3 May 2020, amid the stay at home self-quarantine guidelines of the local authorities due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 104 members of the Baitul Hameed mosque congregated virtually during an open forum session on finance, hosted by the local Jamaat.

The session elaborated on the many spiritual benefits for members who can look to financial sacrifice in the way of Allah to cleanse the spirit. The session was led by the local President, the regional missionary, and the local finance secretary. They shared in great detail how collected chanda is allocated, and where those financial sacrifices end up being deployed by the Jamaat.

The regional missionary explained that a large part of financial sacrifices facilitates the construction of complexes, hospitals, and serves the underprivileged. In this way, individual members are able to broaden their reach towards helping humanity. Members engaged in dialogue with the presenters asking for further guidance about where the inception of various Jamaat funds come from, as well as how Majlis-e-Shura deliberates on the budget allocations for the current year.

All members were able to better understand this topic and were invited to keep in touch with the Jamaat finance department for any additional resources that the Jamaat could provide.
