On 17 November, Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Jamaica celebrated the life of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The event was attended by Ahmadi Muslims from across the island, while several non-Ahmadi guests also participated.
Misbah Anmol Tariq Sahiba reports that the Jalsa started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, which was presented by local missionary, Ghulam Ahmad Sahib.
This was followed by a reading of a hadith on the importance of sending Durood (blessings) upon the Holy Prophetsa. The first speech of the Jalsa was delivered by Imam Ahmad Ibrahim Forson Sahib on “The Promised Messiah’sas love for the Holy Prophetsa”.
After the first speech, local missionary Abdullah Malcolm Sahib presented an excerpt from the writings of the Promised Messiahas. The excerpt explained the elevated station of the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa in comparison to other prophets.
The final speech of the Jalsa was delivered by Imam Tariq Azeem Sahib, President and Missionary-in-Charge Jamaica. He spoke on the topic of “Muhammadsa: The great exemplar”.
While referring to the book of Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud, may Allah be pleased with him, on this very subject, the speaker narrated many faith-inspiring incidents from the life of Holy Prophetsa. Towards the conclusion of the programme, one Christian lady accepted Islam Ahmadiyyat. The readers of Al Hakam are requested to pray for Jamaica Jamaat, in particular for the new converts.
