Prayers, cleaning and service: Bangladesh Khuddam celebrate a new year

Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Bangladesh celebrated the beginning of its new Khuddam year by observing congregational Tahajud prayer on 1 November, giving charity, planting trees and taking part in waqar-e-amal and khidmat-e-khalq programmes.

On the instruction of Sadr Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Bangladesh, Muhammad Zahed Ali Sahib, a total of 86 local Majalis arranged congregational Tahajud prayer on 1 November to celebrate the new Khuddam year. A total of 1,787 people attended the Tahajud prayers, which included 724 Khuddam, 316 Atfal alongside Ansar and Lajna members, who totalled 747.

After the Tahajud and Fajr prayer, 66 Majalis arranged waqar-e-amal. Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Tarua took the initiative to provide free lunch to 250 destitute people at Bhairab Railway Station. The local chairman and joint secretary were present during the food distribution programme and they highly commended Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya for their humanitarian work.

This news was covered by various local television, print and online media, who promoted the humanitarian work of the Ahmadiyya youth. A total of 14 goats were slaughtered for charity from different local majalis and a total of 430 trees were planted all over the country.

In this manner, the Khuddam year was initiated very positively.
