Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Belize began the New Year by organising congregational tahajjud prayer at the Noor Mosque.

This year, for the first time it was decided that a countrywide cleanup would be arranged where members would come together and conduct a clean-up campaign to begin the New Year.

Members of the council also joined members of the Jamaat in different districts and shared their gratitude with the Jamaat for arranging such an event.

Belize City targeted the main western highway, proceeding with a couple of groups at the Jamaat roundabout, whilst other groups began work from the Central American Blvd roundabout. All groups completed the work and arrived safely back at the Noor Mosque which is located between both roundabouts.

Similar was the case in Belmopan and in Orangewalk where main parks along with some streets were also cleaned.

Councillor Hope of Belmopan and the Mayor of Orangewalk both took part in our countrywide cleanup. Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Belize is very grateful for the services provided and the contribution of their time and efforts.

In total, more than 40 garbage bags were collected by the members in three different districts.
